For the past 10 years, hundreds of local students have benefited from MAPAL, our after school homework assistance program. Most of these children are new immigrants struggling to fit into a new culture and learn a new language. Due to the language barrier, parents often feel helpless.
MAPAL is staffed by three part-time professionals and 10 volunteers (many of whom are themselves past MAPAL kids), and it helps 50 students a day. MAPAL provides:
- scholastic assistance
- school guidance
- encouragement
- individual attention
Whether you are an immigrant or native Israeli the MAPAL staff is here to help YOU!
Help is available for any student from 1st through 12th grades. MAPAL runs four days a week – Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4 pm – 6:45 pm
