Giving Opportunities:

   We are celebrating our 20th Anniversary starting April 1, 2011. That day we will kickoff the year with a 5k Family Race, the 4th Annual Beit Shemesh Family Fun 5k Race or Walk which is lots of fun, good for your health and good for the Library!

 

Please consider a donation to the Benjamin Children's Library in honor of our 20th Anniversary. The following are recommended options but any donation is welcome.

Platinum Race Sponsor    - Sponsors BCL's first brick in the new wing  $1000
Gold Race Sponsor          - Sponsor a guest author for BCL's 20th Anniversary lecture series  $750
Silver Race Sponsor         - Sponsor allows tutoring of a child for a year $500
Bronze Race Sponsor       - Sponsor allows the purchase of 10 volumes of a book series $100
Medallion Race Sponsor  - Sponsor allows one needy child an annual membership   $36
 

How to make a contribution:

Donations to the Benjamin Children’s Library are tax-deductible in the U.S. and in Israel.

For U.S. tax-deductible donations, checks should be made out to “P.E.F. Israel Endowment Funds” and sent to P.E.F. at 317 Madison Avenue Suite 607, New York, NY 10017, with a recommendation that it be used for The Benjamin Children’s Library.

Shekel checks may be made out to “The Benjamin Children’s Library” and sent to the library at P.O. Box 919, Beit Shemesh, Israel 99109.

Volunteering:

The Benjamin Children's Library is always looking for volunteers for a wide variety of important tasks. The environment is warm and friendly.

Possible tasks include:

  • Shelving books

  • Repairing or covering books

  • Processing new books

  • Tutoring children, helping them with their homework

Work is suitable for seniors and teens and anyone in-between. Hours can be mornings or afternoons. Be in touch with Miri or Karen at the library at 991-8499 or Miri 054-4675497

 

 Does your library offer a service or program that you particularly like?  We’d love to hear    about it.  Our library is a community project – we invite you to become part of that community!  

      And please come visit us on your next trip to Israel.
